SmartWi-Fi #1: A guide to Internet pornography

Whether you like it or not, looking at pornography in public places is not acceptable.

If you’re running a business, the last thing you want to do is let your customers look at it. There could be kids around after all. And it gets worse…If a customer comes in and looks at illegal pornography, you could be responsible. That is not acceptable is it!?

If you’re offering Wi-Fi in a public location, this is what you should do:

Install content filtering. Content filtering blocks porn. No more problems. Simple

Where can I get content filtering from?

Here are a few ideas:

  • Use OpenDNS. It’s free but can be bypassed.
  • Get some software from someone like Websense.
  • Buy a content filter from a someone like SmoothWall.
  • Install a Public Wi-Fi Hotspot, it’s ready out of the box.
